Black leather pumps is the classic choice as formal high heels. These heels instantly gives you an elegant look. This is also your best choice if your office dress code mandates wearing footwear which fully covers your feet .
2 Monochrome strappy heels
If your company dress code permits you wearing strappy highheels, go for mono-chrome heels. Multi-colour strappy heels are very casual and not suitable for professional environment. So when you are going to your office, you could choose to wear mono-chrome strappy high heels.
3 Avoid glittering designs or colours
Bringing too much of fashion to your professional shoes may not be a good idea. So avoid glittering designs and colours. Better to go for dark colours like dark blue, brown etc. It would be advisable to avoid red colour because it is more catchy and may not be suitable for a professional environment.

4 Avoid flaunting your painted toe nails too much
It is great to have your toe nails painted in beautiful colours and you would always have the temptation to flaunt them as much as possible. You can very well do that in a casual setting, but not advisable in a professional environment especially when you are a receptionist. If your have painted your toe nails in catchy colours like red, you may choose to wear some peep toe heels, which does not show off all your toes. When you wear some strappy high heels, it is better to paint your toe nails with less catchy colours like light pink or so.

5 Prefer chunky heels or wedge heels – if standing and walking too much
You can choose to wear chunky heels or wedge heels if your job involves a lot of standing and walking on a daily basis. Wedge heels are not so much considered as formals, so chunky heels may be a preferred option in such a scenario. You would be more comfortable to stand and walk in chunky heels and wedge heels because they increase high heel stability.

6 Prefer Stilettoes – if sitting most of the time
If your job as a receptionist involves sitting for most of the time, you may choose to wear stilettos. This type of shoes are less stable than chunky heels and wedge heels, but they give you more elegant look.
7 Go for block heels – if you don’t like stilettos
Block heels increase stability. This is a better option if you don’t like stilettos. Moreover, you would be more comfortable to walk in them.
